Pickling has always been a family tradition close to my heart, and my aunt’s pickles were the stuff of legends. As a kid, I’d sneak extra pickles from the jar, and as an adult, I found myself searching for that same bold, tangy flavour—only to be let down by what stores had to offer. So, I decided to take matters (and cucumbers) into my own hands.
In 2008, I rolled up my sleeves and started experimenting with recipes in my kitchen. My little boys even jumped in to help—Ethan took the job so seriously, that he invented a “scrubbing pickle” song, which still makes me laugh today. By 2012, the recipe was perfected, and my pickles became a hit at dinner parties, family gatherings, and even hockey tournaments. Soon, jars were flying out of my house faster than I could fill them, with friends and family begging for more.
What started as a personal quest to relive my childhood favorite has grown into something so much bigger. In 2024, I finally made it official and launched Aggie’s Pickling Inc. Every jar is packed with the same love and care we put into the pickles we serve at our family table. I hope each crisp, tangy bite brings as much joy to your home as it does to ours.
